Although marriage is a beautiful covenant ordained by God, it doesn't stop the enemy from fighting tooth and nail to dismantle what God created. The union of marriage is an earthly example of the covenant that God has with His people. He will never leave us and He will never forsake us, this is His promise. He walks through the trials, valleys and rough patches right there with us. Many times in marriage, we are so quick to want to walk out of our union when the times get rough. What about standing still to see the fulfillment of the promises of God? According to His Word, "What God joined together, let no man separate." Mark 10:9

This is about affecting generations to come. This is about rearranging and strengthening the foundation of the family unit. When the husband and wife are strong in their marriage, it filters down to the children. This will be passed on to their children and so forth. However, on the other hand, when the marriage is broken, it has the potential to destroy the family unit. When we take a hard look at society today, a lot of what we see is a direct result of the breakdown of the family unit.
